Nick has worked in the insurance and claim industry since 2005 with consultancies in both Canada and the UK prior to creating Roper Valuation.

He is keen to provide Business Interruption and insurance expertise to companies, brokers and insurers to assist in the establishment of adequate limits and coverage. His knowledge of both insurance and accounting gives Nick the ability to bridge the gap between the two disciplines to ensure the risks and associated coverage are properly understood and addressed.
Nick proactively provides quantification services during both insurance claim and litigation processes across a variety of loss situations, coverage forms and industries. As both a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) and a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA CMA) Nick has a unique combination of expertise and experience in insurance related valuation and financial loss quantification.
He has led presentations on business interruption insurance to many brokerage groups across Canada and the Insurance Institute of Southern Alberta.

Tamara has worked in the insurance and risk industry for more than 20 years, holding leadership roles with national insurers and reinsurers across Canada prior to joining the Advisory Services division.

As Vice President, Advisory Services, Tamara leads the execution and ongoing evolution of the division’s strategic advisory offerings while also supporting the Valuation Services division. She plays a central role in driving structured, sustainable growth by ensuring professional, high-quality outcomes are delivered consistently to brokers, insurers, and policyholders.
Tamara is responsible for business interruption coverage and limits analysis at all levels. She guides brokers and clients through complex coverage landscapes, aligning insurance strategies with the operational realities of each business. Her expertise spans commercial insurance consulting, reinsurance frameworks and exposures.
Beyond technical advisory, Tamara also leads the design and implementation of broker onboarding, training, and education programs. She is committed to optimizing internal systems, standardizing workflows, and building scalable processes that enhance operational compliance and client experience. Known for her analytical insight, and client-first approach, her work focuses on improving efficiencies, and building infrastructure to support long-term client relationships.

Christine has over 15 years of accounting experience. She started in Accounts Receivable and through dedication and a strong work ethic she was able to achieve her goal of Sr. Accountant, managing a financial team within the Commercial Services division of a large utility company.

Over her tenure, and in addition to routine accounting functions, Christine was involved in numerous projects including financial and cost analysis, financial audits, staff recruitment, financial software beta testing, training, and promotional activities.
Upon enjoying the challenges and growth in the field of accounting, Christine then changed her focus to that of family. She made the commitment to remain a licensed accountant while realizing her dream to become a mom. As a domestic engineer, Christine managed schedules, household finances, and pursued her interest in volunteer work.
Christine returned to the accounting profession in 2023 with Roper Valuation in the role of Staff Accountant.
She works with Roper Valuation clients to provide the financial and cost analysis required to quantify their commercial insurance and litigation claims as well as to support policyholders in determining appropriate insurable values. She is actively pursuing additional insurance education to support her ability to bridge the gap between the insurance and financial disciplines.

She has held progressive roles across numerous sectors, including retail, municipal, energy, utilities, and petrochemical, earning a reputation for insightful analysis and high-quality financial reporting.

As Senior Accountant, Advisory, Balvir brings deep expertise in accounting, budgeting, and forecasting to support our Desktop BI and Advisory services. She is responsible for financial analysis related to business interruption and asset valuations, offering insights across multiple sectors. Her work focuses on identifying and quantifying insurable risks to help brokers, insurers, and clients align insurance strategies with operational realities.

Jackson began his accounting journey in 2019 after graduating from SAIT with a bachelor’s in business administration, majoring in accounting.

Prior to joining Roper Valuation, he honed his knowledge while working as a full-cycle bookkeeper and accounting technician, working with numerous clients in various industries. In 2024 he joined the team at Roper Valuation and currently provides financial and cost analysis in support of loss of income, property damage and other insurance claims. Jackson also works with the Roper Valuation team in the determination of accurate business interruption policy limits and often works in a client facing role with both brokers and policy holders.
Despite any new challenges that may present themselves, Jackson continues to persevere and actively work towards improving his skills and understanding in both the insurance and financial fields. He also eagerly maintains an up-to-date view on the ever-changing economic climate.

Maye joined Roper Valuation & Insurance Advisors Ltd as Business Analyst in 2024. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Victoria, which has provided her with a solid academic foundation in business principles

Maye brings a strong background in wealth management and leading administrative roles. Her career in wealth management involved supporting clients and businesses with major life changes and preparation for unplanned transitions. Originally based in British Columbia, Maye has recently grabbed an exciting opportunity to relocate to Tokyo on a temporary basis however continues to support the Roper Valuation team from afar.
In her current role as Business Analyst, Maye supports Roper Valuation clients in the determination of accurate business interruption policy limits and coverage, and often works in a client facing role with both brokers and policy holders. She is also involved in business development as well as client and task management. Maye is dedicated to leveraging her wealth management experience to drive growth and maintain strong client relationships.
Although new to the commercial insurance sector, Maye is committed to expanding her knowledge and skills through ongoing professional development. Her proactive approach ensures she effectively bridges her previous experience with her new role at Roper Valuation.
